MEDITATING ON GOD'S WORD

Meditating on God’s Word:  Proverbs 2

“My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding;

yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.  

For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints……….”

Help us Lord to remember that true wisdom and understanding comes from You! 

Thank You for providing us with direction and instruction on how we can attain Your knowledge and the wisdom You have stored up for us.

Help us Father have an attentive ear and in inclining heart.  To call out to You for insight and raise our voice to You for Your understanding.

May we have the drive to seek and search for Your wisdom and understanding as we would for something that is of value to us.

We thank You that the wisdom and knowledge You provide will deliver us from the way of evil, will keep us from those who forsake the path of uprightness, and keeps us from the forbidden woman.

Help us realize that Your wisdom will lead us down the path of goodness and righteousness.
